Mac for DMU students

I know that computer options have been discussed previously but my question is mainly for DMU students. I have been informed many times that the first year students are given with a tablet PC and an ipod touch. I have been a Mac user for years and I don't plan on changing. I was wondering if using the PC that they provide is really necessary. Do they install any programs that are only PC compatible? Do they mainly give you a tablet to ease note taking in the classroom?

find out if you can just get the programs from the school and then bootcamp you mac and run them that way, but if its tablet specific programs that come preloaded from the school, then you might have no choice.

Yeah good point. Maybe they will integrate the tablet features with some programs needed for school. And plus, I think that the tablet PC is included on the first year tuition fee.
