So, I decided to replace my broke HP (my fault) with a new macbook pro 13. Anyways, I'm trying to decide if I should get a case for it or not. Right now, I'm looking at the Speck seethru satin case or the Incase hardshell case. I currently have a sleeve for it, so I can put it in my purse. I also have a laptop backpack for school.

Anyone have any opinions on these? I mainly want to use it to prevent scratches and dents. However, I keep getting mixed reviews. Some stated that the cases themselves cause scratching due to debris getting trapped between basically being like sand paper against the mac. I just wanted to see what you guys use on your mac, if anything? Thanks! 🙂

Don't get a case. It will cause scratches. However, be sure to be very careful with the aluminum. If something drops that is heavy it will dent very easily. I did it about 1.5 years after getting the machine.

Anyway, I do recommend a sleeve while you carry it in your bag. I use the caselogic 13" student shuttle. $19.99 from Amazon.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'm just going to go caseless. I'd really hate to put a case on it because I love the way it looks. Plus, they're like $50. Blah. I think I'll just make sure to be careful with it and put it in a protective sleeve.
