I just got my grades for this Spring semester and it turns out I made a C- in biochem. I've never made below a B- in a course (and that was only in two somewhat ridiculous classes). I had a 3.7 GPA and now it's a 3.6. I still have yet to get my grade from Organic back, but I assume it's not below a B hopefully, so that shouldn't change my GPA much now.
I'm planning on taking the MCAT this Friday, May 22nd. I'm trying to clear my mind of this biochem grade for now so I can focus on the MCAT now and hopefully do really well.
But I can't help but think...are my chances to med school almost shot now? A C- is a horrible grade. I tried so hard in that class, but I was pulled in too many different directions for my abilities this semester. Will med schools see the C- and automatically reject me or put me on a waiting list?
