Hi, so as the title said I just went back to look at something while writing secondaries and realized I accidentally copied and pasted the description of my activity into the meaningful experience description. What do I do?????? I've already submitted mid-June and still waiting for verification.... should I address it in secondaries??

Since no one else has replied yet, so as you know, you cannot change anything in your AMCAS once it's sent.
Perhaps you can try adding it where there is an opportunity for one of those "anything else you want to tell us/optional" secondary prompts.
But yeah, goes without saying, that's why people say to triple quadruple check, PRINT and check multiple times!

So like the activity description and the meaningful description are the same?

Yes I know it's definitely my fault. I swear I checked it three times, I don't understand how it escaped from me. The other meaningful experiences are fine. I already tried calling but I yes I figured I'd have to fix it on secondaries. Thank you for your response though.

I am still utterly astounded that supposed best and brightest, the premeds, who want to be physicians, where a simple mistake can cost a life, can be so utterly boneheaded! How many other people did you have proof read this? How many times did you check this? How do you think an adcom will see this? That you rush and do things without checking? You arent good with details? You cant ask others for help?

Here is what you do: absolutely nothing! The last thing you want to do is bring attention this stupid mistake. Do not, repeat, do not do anything

Yes, I checked it three times. I know it is my mistake. I appreciate the honesty.

Yes, I was writing a secondary and was going to refer to it and found it. It's only on that one meaningful experience and not the others thank goodness.

Can't sugar coat this....this is how we cull the herd from 5000+ apps

It was going to be a central point in my secondaries, but I guess there's nothing I can do now and move on --I appreciate your honesty, thank you.
