Mail DAT unofficial scores along with checks?

I know since I'm taking my DAT later I should fax my scores right away but since I also need to start mailing checks should I wait a few more days to mail the check so I can send a copy of my unofficial DAT scores with those checks? That way it'll def. be with my file incase something happens to the fax or if the school doesn't accept faxes?

anyone else mail such info to the schools along with the check (other than the photo)?

Couldn't hurt, but not sure how much it will help. What have the schools said when you called and asked them if this is good?

i actually hadn't called about this. i was hoping to be way done with my DATs before I got emails for checks but all my postponing the test has actually resulted in this overlap so I thought "hey why not just wait a few more days and then mail the unofficial scores with the check?!"


so I was trying to see if anyone did it and had input on it first.

That's what I did also. I called up couple schools and some said that they will take the unofficial one into consideration, while others have said that they will only consider the official report... but I still sent them along with the check anyways.

i just sent my dat scores online so i couldn't send any checks since there's nothing physical on my part. did you guys send the checks before you heard anything or should i wait until i get instructions from them?

i sent my unofficial dat scores with my checks. i didnt check with schools beforehand, but i thought it wouldnt hurt. I sent the scores to every school I applied to, except the ones that had online payment methods, I faxed my scores to those schools. I figured it couldn't hurt. I havent heard anything negative or positive from the schools so I have no idea if it was a good idea. I did it mainly out of not wanting to pay 3 dollars a fax at kinkos, and since I wasnt wasting a stamp (I already was sending money) I don't think it hurt anyone.
