Sooo the post office in my hometown was shut down and now everything is being re-routed. however, since the new facility has been inundated with excess processing, mail is taking a lot longer to get to my house (in some cases upwards of 2-3 weeks longer)

is anyone else having this issue with their postal service? i'm just really nervous since penn and other schools send by mail and since these things are time-sensitive

thanks!

I heard on CNN the other day that USPS lost about 5-8 billions a year for the last 3-5 years (lol my memory sucks). Soon they will close the one near my house as well.

I guess you just have to call schools and ask them 🙂

Vivi, don't sweat it!

I am sure you can always call the schools and/or email. I know you're really dying to hear from Columbia, so that being said, if CULion is right, they may be making calls this year...there is also the possibility of them updating on AADSAS. Worst case scenario, your mail gets delayed, you call them and they go "yep you're in" or "no you're not" 🙂. But I bet they have good news for you.

Thanks for the encouragement 🙂 I'm just in that over analyzing stage for every small detail haha. Can't wait until I know where I'm going to school. Yeah I'll just call them and ask if they don't update online 🙂

please don't quote me on this but i'm preeeeeeetty sure that Ms. Corky Cacas said she was going to call this year since she's going to be out of the country following the week of december 1st. again, i remember her saying that but if no one else remembers her ever mentioning then i may have been day dreaming or something.....

oh wow!
god i hope. i'm sure schools are sensitive to the fact that the postal service is a mess right now.....i would hope that they'd make adjustments! thanks for the info. i didn't hear that at my interview but mine was early so perhaps she didn't know she was going to be gone.
