Is anyone else getting their hopes up when a "letter" comes in the mail only to turn out to be a mass mailing that they send out to like everyone who took the MCAT's? I just got an envelope in the mail today from UNE and I thought it was something exciting. Turned out to be one of those "Now that you've taken the MCAT's, it's time to decide what to do next..." It's frustrating to say the least. Oh well. Maybe the next one will be the real thing.

I've only recieved one interview invitation by snail mail. The others have come by email, which I like better. It also eliminates mystery mail that disapoints.

I have recieved both mail from OSUCOM and UNECOM both schools I did not apply to. I read them and its nice that they are actually advertising. I put them in the pile with the other "now that you have taken the mcat" mailings I get.

My favorite are the podiatry mailings I still get after a block into my first year. 😛

I still get mail from technical schools like ITT Tech saying "it's not too late to start thinking about your future."

Classic.....I swear those things are going to be on the I love the 90's show when VH1 does them in 10 years.....

Schools should have to put a disclaimer on the OUTSIDE of the envelopes that say....

"This has nothing to do with med school or your application. Do not get excited. Do not get your hopes up. Actually you probably won't even read this so you might as well throw it away now."😀

Funny you should say that. I still have a Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine envelope still unopened on my desk. I am going to collect these things like baseball cards now.
