Recently I was informed by one of our hospital system's surgical program directors that when maintaining your CV, most presentations / posters/ conferences etc. have a 'time stamp,' and should only stay on your CV for ~3 years. I know the driving force, is to make sure manuscripts are completed from a lot of these posters and presentations, however I have never heard of this rule before. Is this something well known and established? or is it an unwritten rule?
Obviously, the more publications and NCBI numbers that you have, the better, but this was a new one for me. Appreciate the responses. Cheers!
