Hello all, I am a freshman Student Athlete at George Mason University. I am athletically a freshman here at Mason, but due to incoming credits from attending governor's school in high school I am academically a sophomore. Basically here is my predicament...... I am currently an Integrative Studies with a pre PT concentration major, while I have minors lined up in both kinesiology and coaching; however, I am concerned that with this major and minors if I am not admitted to PT school there will be no real job opportunities for myself. I would love to hear input from everyone as I am looking forward to shaping my future plans. Thanks in advance for helping me in this manner.

You're a freshman, you have no excuse at this point not to get the grades needed to get into PT school. You know what you need to do, so do it.
If you're worried you might change your mind, there are few majors that will pay well if you rest on having that bachelors. Unless you're interested in engineering or something, I suggest getting a degree like business admin and, most importantly, working during school at a real job. I make $20/hour right now with an environmental science degree solely because I worked in school and built up some work experience.

Thank you for your feedback, I suppose I should restructure my position. I would love to work while attending school but I am an athlete and unfortunately do not have the time. I am 90% sure I will get into PT school, but I just want to make sure I would be able to obtain a well paying job in case I did not get in.
I second Co Luu's statement regarding advanced degrees. Two generations ago, a high school diploma opened up doors. During the generation prior, a bachelor's brought forth endless possibilities. Nowadays, an advanced diploma is necessary for consideration in the real world. Who knows what our kids will need for a job.
Secondly, there are advanced degree options open to you if you do not get into PT school. Masters in Coaching/Sports leadership can land you a college head coaching gig. Masters in Kinesiology leads into a strength and conditioning coaching job. Those options are assuming you want to advance in the athletics job market.
