Although discussed at length- never fully answered. Wondering if any residents could comment on the following: did you match at a program that did not respond to your letter of intent? -or worse, responded with a generic,"it was nice to meet you too, good luck in the match." I feel that responding "good luck in the match is worse," bc they took the time to write you...yet they didn't say anything comforting. At least if they don't write back...I can tell myself, it's their policy. Even though I'm probably lying to myself.

matched at a place that didn't respond to my "hey I liked your program, am ranking it high, hope you do the same with me." Programs are tight lipped and are giving generic responses because they don't want a match violation, which would have many consequences for said program.
seriously, if you send an email or letter, expect nothing in return and you will never be disappointed
