Just started exploring sdn. Washington State resident and Asian American
Community College GPA: 3.97, took Gen chem, calc, social sciences,
Uni GPA: 3.57 so far one more quarter left.
GPA combined: 3.77
sGPA: 4.0@ comm college, 3.22 @ uni, combined --> 3.4 sGPA
MCAT: 503 (128, 123,125,127) I know i did bad on CARS... 🙁

EC:
- 100 hours of hospital volunteer
- research 2 years with poster presentation
- years of volunteering for christian organization
- started a pre-med club
- shadowing 100 hr by the time mid june
- study abroad
- multiple medical missions

Started making a list but not sure if i should include other state schools because I don't know which school do/don't pick out of state applicants. Should I apply to Texas schools, CA schools? I know my MCAT score isn't so hot but I still want to apply this cycle and if I don't get any offers then I'll take the MCAT again. Any information is appreciated. Let me know if I'm missing any other info.

It would be nice if you guys can give me a list! I found a lot of your responses when I was browsing around 🙂 !! @Goro @LizzyM

For sure:
U Washington
WSU

You have a chance for interviews at a few OOS MD schools with your stats. Definitely not any Texas schools or most of the CA schools. You could try these schools:
Loma Linda
California University
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Seton Hall
George Washington
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Rosalind Franklin
Kaiser and Roseman if they open for 2019
The GPA-MCAT grid shows you have less than a 50% chance for a MD acceptance. Apply also to at least 8 DO schools.

I really appreciate your recs! Can I ask why you added Goerge Washington, NY medical college, Quinnipiac, and CA university? the first 3 schools have avaerage mcat scores of 512 (according to MSAR which seems like out of what schools I should be aiming for) and CA university is a state school (which i assume is difficult for OOS to get into)
Also, I'd find it very helpful if you can give me tips on how I can improve my application!
Thank you so much!

CUSM is private and a new school so they're likely to have lower stats. We won't really know the exact numbers until next year's MSAR however

California University is a new private school in San Bernardino and has no instate preference. Your MCAT is below the 10th percentile for most OOS private schools. I am just suggesting a few schools where you could have a chance for an interview. George Washington, New York Medical College, Rosalind Franklin have class sizes of almost 200 so there are 20 per class that are less than the 10th percentile. Outside of your Washington state schools and the newer schools you are more likely to receive interviews at the DO schools so apply broadly to them. You could add more clinical volunteering hours to improve your chances.

I understand. Thank you for your recommendations!
