I have never been into social media. I am planning to go to school out of state and will know no one. Is it worth it to make an account or will people just think im a creep because I just made an account and have no friends, comments on it.

Is it weird to not have a facebook?

In this day and age it's a tad bit unusual, but it certainly does happen frequently (I have one only for the purpose of connecting to family). Consider joining the "Class of XXXX" year for the uni / med school. You'll meet some people.

Before you graduate, make a Facebook and add some of your high school friends. That way, when you get to college and you start friending people, there will be no red flags raised. In this day and age, everyone is expected to have a Facebook account. You can start your Twitter and Instagram profiles when you get to college. Those are more optional as far as I know.

It's not the norm but I wouldn't get one unless you want to. I didn't have facebook till the end of my senior year, I basically did what @Shark7500 was talking about. I used it for a little while but now I only really use it to stay informed about people I care about, post major life updates about myself, and meet cute girls. I wouldn't be in the relationship I am now though without facebook  just some food for thought OP.
