Hello all! I'm going to be bringing my sister's best friend from Ontario, Canada to sunny Mexico to visit where my sister resides with our retired parents. (ajijic)
I know(god knows I know) how the traveller's diarrhea can hit almost everyone who goes dispite the avoidance of water. One of my friends went to Cuba for a month and came back with Typhoid. Should we get the youngin' vaccinated against anything? We'll be there 3 weeks. She's 17. Thank you kindly. 😀

Err, no. BTW, the prophylaxis for malaria are oral drugs, not shots. You don't need them in Mexico, unless you're slogging through the yucatan jungle or something.

The CDC has a website that has all the travellers info you need.

Been going there for years...when I was a baby..to about 12.....so oh my GOD I totally forgot that it was oral. Shoot me. Actually I'm surprised there isn't a shot yet. 😛 And YES we'll be slogging through the Yucatan jungle for a stint. Thanks. And err.....sorry for bothering you.

Thank you for your feedback. Great site that CDC. And yes Anette.....those mosquitos are terrible. I have bad memories of trying to sleep with that god awful humming in my ears at night. Mosquito nets or not.

Woke up with red dots all over.
