Which programs are generally considered "malignant" programs by rad onc definition?

Which programs did the residents seem really over-worked?

Which programs make residents come in on the weekends on a regular basis?

Looking to learn more specifically about the southern programs: Duke, UT-Southwestern, Baylor, UTMB-Galveston, UMiami, Emory, Vanderbilt. I already looked through interview and rotation threads. Appreciate any other insight!

PS: hate the new SDN format...

I don't think you will get a whole lot of responses on this public forum about that. There are very few programs that are univerally thought to be malignant. Overworked is a subjective question but do understand this is still a residency. Its way better than what my medicine friends are doing now, but rad onc is by no means a 9-5 anywhere.

Weekends: just ask the programs you interview at. Virtually no one treats on the weekend except for emergencies or special situations which you will run into when you are on call. So the real question is how is the call schedule structured.
