Each of the following is attributable to hepatic failure except one. Which one is this exception?

tremor
gynecomastia
mallory bodies (answer)
hypoalbunemia
spider telangiectasia

Why are mallory bodies not attributable. I would think all of these 5 are attributable to hepatic failure....😳

I referred wikipedia and Kaplan on this ..its tricky and confusing bcoz hepatic failure assoc with/caused by alcoholic hepatitis ONLY would have mallory body as a histologic feature...and not the others! There are many causes of Hepatic failure besides this.

Mallory bodies are found in alcoholic hepatitis ...which is one of three pathological stages of alcoholic liver disease- others are Fatty liver and alcoholic cirrhosis. Patients suffering fr alcoholic hepatitis might proceed to hepatic failure or might not.
