Malpractice and Two jobs

I have two questions,

1)Is it normal to find a Emergency Medicine Physician with two Jobs? I hear alot about having to work only three days a weeks, so could a doctor attain another job with another hospital as partime or even full-time?

2) In general ( I know there is exceptions), do hospitals pay for a doctor's malpractice insurance or is it out of the doctor's pocket?

At my program, almost all of the attendings do other things besides work in our ED. A few work a couple of shifts a month at smaller hospitals, some own businesses, some do medmal defense work, etc.
