Has anyone taken a course in embryology. The one I am looking at is called "Fundamentals of Mammalian Embryology" a 2 credit class from the Department of Cell and Regenerative Biology. I haven't taken anything embryology related before and was wondering how people found a course like this. I also have seen that some medical schools recommend it

I took a course called "Developmental Biology", a 4 credit class (including lab) that included mammalian embryology, among other topics. Your course sounds like it will focus on the embryo only, while developmental biology also encompasses such topics as primary and secondary sex determination. It was challenging, but doable, and very interesting. It will likely be very molecular biology heavy so that might be good to have under your belt first, at least the basics.

At my uni, those who bothered taking developmental Bio needed it for their biotech certificate to be trained in stem cell research through CIRM. If it's just focusing on embryology, you might touch up on stem cell tech, but I don't know to what extent. You interested in regenerative medicine? Then take it.
