MAMS vs. Post Bacc students

Will med school applicants finishing a post-bacc program face stiff competition, or suffer lower probabilities of acceptance if their school also has a MAMS program?

For instance, if XYZ University has a med school, MAMS program, and Post bacc program, will the post-bacc students have lower chances of matriculating in its med school due to the MAMS students also coming out the same year (and most likely also applying to XYZ's med school)?

From where I did my postbac, MAMS program was an "academic enhancement" program for those who have less-than-stellar academic records. However, a guaranteed admission interview at the medical school was given to students who achieve a GPA of 3.5+ and whose MCAT score is a 30+. In this regard, applicants from MAMS program do have some advantage.

Thanks, it does kind of seem like only the very top of the post-baccs will have a shot at acceptance into the med school. Of course, this is only looking at that school's particular med school, and not the chances of getting into other med schools in general. Unless, of course, there are other factors that make the post-bacc unique (experience, employment, etc).
