Man pretends to be be a woman/vet...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What a sad and unfortunate story. These kind of people are what give the impression that veterinarians are trying to rip people off. As a side note, this man is a very ugly woman.

What a insane story! Why in the world would you go through all the trouble of pretending to be a vet, setting up a clinic that was at least somewhat believable, buying supplies, etc, AND changing your gender...?

Um...there are far simpler ways to illegally get some cash!

I can't stand some people. How could someone be so...manipulative? Not did he steal those people's money, but who knows WHAT he was injecting into their pets since i don't think he'd be able to actually get any vaccines without a DVM or legitimate practice.

I hate people like this....grrr:annoyed:

p.s. he does make a very ugly woman :uhno:

Simply stunning, really, that someone could get away with this for such a long time. And that it took someone raking up charges over 1000$ to even think anything was wrong! The only reason a bill should be that high is for emergencies, extended hospital stays or major surgery!

Hopefully no ill repercussions come from this scam artist's actions, either to the scammed clients' pets or to the veterinary community as a whole.

{If you go on the website, the fake vet brags about being "VERY skilled in Avian medicine" and having 2 "VERY LARGE and quite nasty iguanas". 😕 Having nasty pets is definitely something I'll brag about when I get out of school...}

You can buy vaccines without being a DVM/VMD or owning a practice, you just have to know where to look - and apparently s/he did.

And I third the ugly woman sentiment 😱

That's horrible. People like this will only destroy the trust that clients have in veterinarians. I can't believe it took so long for someone to realize that she-or I guess he- wasn't what he claimed to be.

Wow, this website is so ridiculous.... I don't understand how people can read these descriptions of the staff and think that this is at all legit....

I saw this story yesterday, and I was wondering...On the exotics rescue website, he mentions getting his DVM from UPenn.

Did NO veterinarians in the area ever hear about this? I would think in that area, someone (most likely, a vet) would recognize that UPenn only gives VMD degrees and alert the proper authorities before he did much damage.
