I just watched Bear Grylls gag down a friggen scaley reptile after he bit its head off. He's in some sort of desert.

This guy cracks me up. Hilarious.

Now he's fighting a damn cobra in the middle of nowhere.

That guy is friggin' insane...I love him. It recently came out that he stages a lot of the parts of his show, often getting help from his camera crew and staying in their tents for most of the nights. Someone also revealed that when he was supposedly stranded in the middle of a rainforest he was actually staying at a posh resort in the jungle and filming the scenes nearby.

Either way, that doesn't change the fact that he FREAKING PEED ON HIS T-SHIRT AND WRAPPED IT AROUND HIS HEAD! I will watch his show just for that stuff whether the rest of it is faked or not. Also, the crazy stuff that he climbs with no ropes or nets for no reason, as well as the fact that he will jump into quicksand just to demonstrate how to get out make him awesome in my book.

Plus, anyone who names their son Marmaduke has got some serious balls.

Agreed. It's also pretty neat to see him slide 5000 feet down the side of a mountain on his butt (or more properly put "glissade").

Can't say that the wife particularly cares to see him eat bugs or drink his own pee, though...😛

Have any of you seen "Survivorman" on the Discovery Channel? Supposedly he does the same type stuff, only without the camera crew present.

Watch Man vs. Wild for the entertainment factor...As said above, he eats/climbs/does CRAZY crap for NO REASON, always seems to find a "sterile" water supply, and is just flat-out more entertaining than watching an overweight Canuck talk to himself while holed up in the woods.

Survivorman's Les Stroud is real.

The stuff Bear does is real. He may have help next to him, but he's doing that $hit. I don't see survivorman eating fresh goat testicles and pulling off insane stunts. The entertainment value is real. Thats what counts in my book.

Survivorman is respectable but its not enjoyable to watch. Its like watching someone starve in a beige room for 5 days. Boring.

Later in the same episode Vent is talking about he came upon a dead zebra being picked on vultures. After he scared off the vultures, he got down on all 4's and proceeded to take bites of flesh straight out the zebra - no hands. Quite possibly the most disgusting/bad ass thing I've ever seen.

I saw him grab a HUGE spider that "was only mildly venemous, but not enough to kill someone", then proceed to eat the entire thing. That dude has some crazy mental toughness to be able to do some of that sh..t.
