You guys have done well so far fighting off HMOs and third party control of dentistry, but unfortunately in the long term you will lose this battle just like the doctors lost.
The only reason that dentistry hasnt fallen to third parties like medicine did is because politicians havent been screaming about a "universal right" to dentistry like they have for medicine.
But thats really just temporary lag. After we get a socialized "universal care" program for Medicine, its only a matter of time before dentistry is added. Maybe it will be 5 years, or 10 years later but its inevitable. After the politicos have installed their government "medical" system they'll rally to include dentistry in the fold.
