Hi there! I am a non-traditional student coming from a restaurant industry background. I have been in restaurant management for nearly 4 years. My original plan was to work as a CNA (state certification pending) or a medical scribe, but recently I have been considering applying for site management in Urgent Care facilities. Since this is more of a human resources/development role, would this count as clinical experience? Many of the job descriptions focus on organizing employees while also monitoring patient output; however, there are definitely expectations of client interactions. A couple of my former co-workers had managed to use their hospitality background and actually got hired in similar positions since there is less of a pay-cut. As I'm paying my way through three more semesters of prerequisites (mainly chemistry), I'm trying to weigh the costs of each in terms of my application.

Any thoughts are appreciated!
