Wondering if someone can enlighten me on what to do (USA specific guidance) upon obtaining an abnormal pap smear?

I'm getting muddled up with the UK recommendations which is confusing me immensely on the "what is the next best step" type questions on UW.

I think with ASCUS or LGSIL you do HPV testing and observe, repeat in 6 months.

With HGSIL, I know you do colposcopy with biopsy. To determine endocervical presence of disease, do a LEEP or cone bx. Treatment according to bx results.
