Does anyone know if people are able to go into the water there at the Manipal beaches? I read something that said it was not allowed and not safe... big bummer. And also, are there available apartments/flats for rent within walking distance of the KMC school?

yes you can get in the water, but yes there are riptides, etc. every couple years someone drowns.
