Anyone take a manual dexterity exam before dental school acceptance? I will be given a 5 cm-ish cube made of plaster, xacto-knife, and mm ruler. I will watch a DVD and then be given a specific figure to carve out revealed at the day of the exam. I am thinking "molar" for that specific figure, but what do you guys think? My proctor couldn't give me any specifics, but he had told me to ask some dentists for pointers and any other suggestions. I will watch a DVD for 20 minutes and be given 1.5 hours for carving time.

Thanks for your help.

Is this for the Canadian DAT?

why dont you tell us what school this is for?
and if we know this, then probably the people who got accepted to this school last year would have gone through a similar exam...

Just make sure you obtain a good fulcrum. Stability is key. use your smaller fingers to steady your hand on a hard surface (the chin for us dental lovers)
