Question- what if I've done manual dexterity stuff a lot as a child but wasn't able to continue it throughout college? but bc i did them as a child i still have the fine motor skills which allow for me to pick up things easily??

:\

Hey! Could you give examples of what you mean? Manual dexterity could include drawing, sowing, sculpting, playing musical instruments, cooking/baking, knitting etc

hi yes! thank you or responding.
i've done a lot of origami as a kid and made friendship bracelets, played cats cradle, and basic knitting but they didn't stay with me through high school and college
i played instruments in mid/high school but not in college

so i'm not sure how to go about writing this.

you can mention it but it won't help you that much. Most people have "manual dexterity" experience as a kid.

i mean i wouldn't say i stopped doing it.. but like yeah not sure
Do you have any experience with dental related stuff? Like wax ups (usually activities from predental day). You can use those experience to tie it with your manual dexterity and write about how your manual dexterity experience helped you to learn quickly and perform well on those activities. That’s what I wrote. You want to explain to the admission committee that your manual dexterity experience can help you to succeed in dental school. Tbh I wouldn’t worry about this part too much because it’s a small part of your application.

oh wow!! that was really helpful thank u so much!!!

Everybody says something about their dexterity. Just don’t lie and say you sew because if they hand you it to prove and you can’t then you’re screwed.

And tons of people say they are awesome with hand skills. They very well know more than 50% will be awful with their hands in simlab starting out.
