Manual dexterity prompt for aadsas...I don't know if I should include this...

Hey all,

I'm new to all this. Simply put, I'm filling out my AADSAS application and I have reached the part where they ask about manual dexterity. I'm mentioning the untold numbers of models I've made and painted when I was younger, also some woodcarving, and silicone mold making that I picked up in college, etc.

Here's where it gets tricky... I made one of these, and it actually works quite well 😀

I think this is an illustrative example of my manual dexterity but I don't know if I should include this in my application or not because it might give my app an "anti-government forest survivalist" kind of vibe.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You're thinking too much about it. Those are all great things to put on there. If you're really worried about it, you have some good stuff without it. I've heard of some artist/model building types bringing some of their work with them to interviews. I'd leave the weapon home if you choose to do that.

those those are all good yo... even the crossbow is bad ass. Does it actually work?

you got nothing to worry about. For hand-eye coordination, I said I was good at shooting firearms (handguns and rifles)

yep, it works. If you do it right you can shoot one every second and a half or so with decent accuracy at about 10 yards. Or you can shoot it at an angle and get much more range.

I guess I'll base my decision about whether or not to include it after a few more people chime in, I think I have some good things to include even if I leave it out. Like I said, I just don't want someone on an adcom somewhere to think I'm some sort of nutjob. Thanks for your input, and good luck with all of your apps. 🙂

I'm a girl and I think you could safely use it. Unless you think you will be interviewed by a member of PITA or a vegetarian? I don't think its a problem & it will help you stand out from the crowd.
