How do dent schools assess your manuel dexterity for admissions? Is there anything I can do to improve/show my manuel dexterity (I'm a pre-dent student looking to apply in August)? Any summer courses/projects you suggest? Thanks!

A few schools (LSU and ASDOH come to mind) have simple tests on the day of the interview, but most places won't test you on it. Ways to improve manual dexterity mostly involve art...drawing, painting, and sculpture. I know quite a few applicants will bring a small portfolio along to their interview to show the adcom. You should check with local community colleges or art museums as most will offer some type of summer course in drawing or painting for beginners.
I don't know if your joking or not, but that is the only thing I got going for me. I don't think I would seriously put it in my app but in the interview I would bring it up.
But ya, if you can start drawing or pottery that would be cool, but realize you use your hands on a daily basis. I don't think dental schools will hold it against you if you don't have something more specific.
