Would this be considered as close to an essential as possible, other than UWorld and First Aid of course?

Yeah it highlights the most high yield material from the text ...but it won't make much sense if you skip the text and only read them ....but once you revise they are GOLD

I definitely don't have time to read through the entire text, I was just going to do Path from First Aid supplemented with that. Obviously if I don't understand something I'd look it up for clarification though!

Or would Pathoma be better for this method?

don't do goljan then ....it will further confuse you ....pathoma is best for you then ...200 page book ... you can read it off in a week and half.... with videos at 1.5x ....
