I graduated last Spring with a Bachelor's in Marketing from a state school and long story short, have decided to pursue dentistry. I have no concerns for GPA (I graduated with a cumulative 3.99), however, I am missing necessary science prerequisite courses because I had not originally planned for this and thus, took weird classes to fulfill my science requirements such as Astronomy, Nutrition and Geography (ha!). Is there a way to easily view the prerequisite course requirements for all (or most) schools at once? I don't want to take more than I need to, but I do feel I need to take them at a state school rather than a Community College, correct??

I would highly recommend the ADEA guide to dental schools. It includes pre-requisites, average statistics, and more helpful information for forming your school list. Of course, going to each of the websites for the schools on your list would work too, but this book has it all compiled for you. 2021-2022 ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools

Yes, it would be a good idea to complete the pre-requisites at a state school rather than a community college. Some schools do not accept community college credits for pre-requisites.

Good luck!

Back when I was applying (2012), it was "advised" to take your bio, chem and o-chem pre-reqs at your 4 year university. Physics on the other hand was the more flexible one and you could take it at a community college since it is not tested on the DAT. Did it that way and it did not come up during my interviews or questioned during the application process.
