Hi,

my last exam for this term (neurobio) is on May 9th and I definately won't have this course mark on my transcript by May 15th. The exam format is short answer/essays so it takes ~2 weeks for me to see my final mark.

I'm aware that AADSAS won't process my application until they receive transcript w/ ALL the grades for courses that I've taken so far.
I can't say course still under progress b/c I'm practically done with the course.. it's just that the mark won't be released before May 15th...

Does this mean that I need to wait till I receive my final grade for this course and apply a bit late? I don't want AADSAS to hold back on my application even if I apply early... 🙁😕

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I don't think it will hold you back at all. Even though they don't process your application until receipt of all official transcripts, I would imagine you would still make the first mailing of applications.

Waiting will not make your application late at all. Your application will still be processed in June at the latest. I submitted my application in July... and that is not really considered late, maybe for a couple of schools, but for most it is fine. A lot of schools won't start conducting interviews until the incoming class is settled in and classes are underway.

This question has come up over and over again. I cruised the ADEA website and it says nothing about having spring semester grades present for successful processing. And another thing is the couse is technically still in progress until the final grades are in. I'm just gonna go ahead and apply without those grades for the spring semester, and then send the updated transcript once those spring semester grades are released.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm probably going to have the same problem, but I'm going to wait the extra week or so for grades to be released. When people say to apply early, they don't mean literally in the first week. Sure, that would be great, but really, anything before late August is considered early, IMO. If this semester helps your GPA I would wait.
