Marquette Interviews Post-December

Anyone know if Marquette plans on interviewing more people. I have been put on hold.

According to predents they aren't. I don't see anybody scheduled for January or February yet. In fact, nobody was scheduled for a post-December interview in the 06' year either. Only in 05' do you see one person scheduled for February but there may have been a change of policy since then. I personally heard Brian Trecek say that they were significantly cutting down on interviews this year. Good luck!

I know of someone last year that interviewed post december and was accepted, so keep your head up!

As far as I know, admissions has interviewed everyone that they would be interested in. If they need to accept more people to fill spots for the class of 2012, they would pick from those who have interviewed already. It would be rare if you were accepted without a pre-Dec. interview.

I have a friend who got his DAT done late (end of OCT) and was invited for an interview to Marquette in Feb.

I just got a snail mail from marquette saying that my application is on "HOLD". I was just wondering if anyone else got this and what this could mean. Am i close to a rejection or close to an interview?

Did it say why your application was on hold? I haven't received that letter yet, though it may just be in transit. That sucks! sorry dude.

Nope, didnt say anything about y it was on hold. Besides, when i got it i assumed that it was rejection. God i thought finally i would be out of my misery!! Well guess not..

N e ways funny thing bout the letter is that it is dated 1st dec 2007. So its really messed up!!

Yeah, that is messed up. Marquette was funny this year. They had an extremely high percentage of their first rounder acceptancees deposit so they really have no seats left technically. Although, I'm sure that many people double deposited which will open up a few seats for us. Oh well, if I get into VCU I'd probably go there instead of Marquette simply because it would be less of a hassel and I enjoyed my time at both schools.

Dude I'm sorry...there's just no hope left for Marquette...no hope 🙁. I figure that if VCU were to accept me that they would do so THIS FRIDAY. That would leave me with months to prepare myself for Richmond and to get all of my financial tasks taken care of. As for Marquette, they have essentially already decided on who will be attending. That said, if it turns out that they do accept me, that probably wouldn't take place until April...or LATER!!! Needless to say, I would have to reverse all of my matriculation efforts; the pain associated to going through with that can only be compared to the pain that one feels as they try to stop peeing (yes, I said peeing) when they've already started.
