MarWWel -- GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Bless you all this is very helpful. I think I am feeling better about you now, True. Dana, you honestly sound like me in some of your posts so you can have a half village point too.

Dubz, how are you feeling about Fluff after the... kerfluffle yesterday?

ba dum tssss
Oh yeah, last thing, if I ever refer to mechanics in a familiar way or seem like I have weird experience, I played a ton of WW games in real life in undergrad. Some things were different (straight-up lying is a lot trickier in person for most people, for example), but a lot of the mechanics and strategies are similar. Playing online is a lot harder, that's for sure.

Smh you're probably an expert wolf already and I keep forgetting to incorporate that into my reads

Dana wolfed in the noob game and has played two games since, one speed one regular, and been voted out d1 as a villager both times

True has played two previous games (after this year's noob game which he didn't play), village both times, died n2 and then made it to endgame

violet was village in the noob game, wolf in a speed game, village in her second full game

kdswg played the noob game (village) and last game (wolf) and was yeeted in both

PSV was village in the noob game and wolf in her first regular game (the last wolf standing in fact!), village last game

Fluff was village in the noob game and village in her first regular game. She was my wolfy sidecar (like a reverse manator) last game.

These are accurate I think, sorry if I left anything off.
I forgot about my own speed game lol.

Mel, Barks, Bob, fluff, kdsw, or Bread?
Okay rough review of these folks conducted, hedgey as usual but here are more thoughts

Bread appears to have only posted 3 times and none of it was content. goes in the category with the other lowposters.

Bob feels like bob, mostly jokey and occasionally confusing people. I think leaning villagey, but from my recollection when I saw him wolf, I didn't notice a ton of difference until he had some pressure on him which he has not had yet this game.

Mel feels shockingly village (in that i can follow/agree with some questions and arguments he has) which should maybe worry me since I usually wolf read him (and he often wolf reads me, which also hasn't happened yet)

I'm not sure the "powervillaging" comment is enough for me to wolf-read Barks as others are (in part because i didn't play the last game with cubs that everyone is referencing) but I also never trust barks and don't have village points to award either

my only experience playing with fluff and kdsw was when i was wolfing against them in noob game so my perspective is slightly skewed there. justafluff is fairly active, seems a lot more confident than in noob game. i think the tiff between samac and fluff (about the way fluff was responding to posts) was a bit of a reach on samacs side but felt v/vish to me. there's a possibility i was onto something before with fluff's response to the lupin rule but i'm moving away from that

kdswg also has not posted much content.

so. mostly neutrals, as is typical for D1 for me, but feeling the best from this group about Bob and maybe Mel

For the record neither Dana nor Fluff feel wolfy to me, they're in my leans village camp for the time being.

You get village points for sheer effort

@cubsrule4e, you've been acting differently this game than last game. Am I seeing things? Is it intentional?
A lot more replying from work than the first two actual days of last games play. And then it was the weekend, and then I was NKed. So not sure what qualifies as different for you, or have another explanation, but as far as activity/posting patterns, there’s that.

Nah, that makes sense. I just remember you going in for a very gung-ho powervillaging role last game, and you don't feel that way this time around.

To be fair he did mention something in dead chat about how it got him dead early. I think.

I guess I'm surprised by the conclusion considering you think samac/fluff are v/v. Barks is also still missing.

Can you expand your thinking on Dubz?
partially the lupin rule thing as previously discussed. Partially because within the volume of her posts (i know, i know, NAI for dubz) it's like 50% talking about past games, 20% jokes, 20% saying hi to Sporty when she shows up, and maybe 10% current game activity. I think i'd probably die if i wolfed two games in a row but can't rule out RNG having done that to her. I have noted that she has gently pushed AM a few times this game in a way that interests me. It's been a while since I played a game where WZ was player rather than Mod I think, so i can't recall how they usually interact

I take offense to these made up percentages.
I also don't feel like I've pushed AM at all? I had discussions with her about some things.

no Barks is in there

I said think that brief tiff they had it felt like ti could be v/v, but overall i'm holding back more on reading fluff because i have less basis for comparison. I think fluff is definitely playing differently than noob game, but i think its because of experience rather than aff. fluff is on the higher side of neutral but as repeatedly said, I have little confidence in any of these reads at this point in the game

I mean, we've played several games together in the past year. You could even look at the two most recent games if you're really curious.

pushed may be the wrong word in that I don't think you're trying to vote her, but there's more weight behind your interactions with her than your interactions with other people. it's a vibe thing

"several" lol

Well I don't know what this means but okay

Can you expand on what about it "interests you"?

I feel like TME would surprise me if they were a wolf. Largely because a reads list that puts Zenge and Dubz as the top of the sketch pile feels like a lot to bite off for D1. Sketch reading two strong, vocal players feels like a way to get yourself in hot water fast when you don't need to

My brain is trying to lean that way too but it's been a trap before. But there's something niggling at my brain that I want to check.

I'm pretty sure she always reads Zenge sketchy no matter their affiliations so that doesn't surprise me.

Still, at least throw a couple more easy misyeets in there if you don't want to be climbing and endless hill and get yourself yoten in the process

Either way, I could be conned. But it does feel genuine, at least for now
