Hello all, and thank you in advance for your responses. I just have a question regarding the UMB admissions process. After the interview, does the admissions committee reconsider the entire application before admission or is the interview the primary factor considered since the applicant's credentials gained them the interview in the first place. I am just curious because I know this varies from school to school.
Thanks!

In general you're right - the application is what gets you the interview. Before the interview, though, the student and faculty interviewer have full access to your file and will usually review it to get a general sense of what you're all about before the interview. Then they form impressions during the interview and give the dean of admissions their impressions. In essence she'll "debrief" the interviewers and find out what they think. She'll use that information to decide how to make offers. I'm sure Dr. Meehan looks over your file If someone is equally liked as well as another - in that case the better app will win out.

Thank you for your reply. I suspected as much, but I wanted to hear it from a dental student. Sounds good, thanks!
