I haven't interviewed at U Maryland, although I'm interested in going there. But a few weeks ago, I received a financial aid packet from the school! Has this happened to anyone else? All maryland applicants? I'm confused.

I interviewed, but haven't received an acceptance/rejection not have I received a packet.

But I have gotten a in-state status letter.

I also got the financial aid packet. I have not interviewed there yet. MD resident. I am in the same boat as you.

During the briefing from the Financial Aid counselor, he stated that even if you had not yet been accepted that you should complete a FAFSA, designating the University of Maryland as one of your schools. When he completes the packets in the March/April timeframe, he does so based on submission date. Hope this helps.
