btw...my aadsas status for maryland today changed to received/waiting additional information. does anybody know what this means specifically from maryland? should I email them to see what's going on or did everyone receive this status? they should have received everything by end of August.

My aadsas status for maryland changed this morning to "received/waiting for additional information" too!! I checked my email and didn't have anything for them explaining so I'm going to call first thing Monday morning.
Mine too! I don't know what additional info they are waiting for since they should have gotten everything a long time ago...
yea my status changed to "Need Additional Information" also, but I called them and they said that it just means that the application is moved onto the next stage where the admissions board is looking over it. She told me that theres nothing to worry about. Its weird though because why would they put "need more info" if they really don't. Hopefully we can all get interviews soon.
It's funny because it doesn't say explicitly say interview anywhere, but I hope you all are right!!

My Maryland status changed to "Received/Waiting Additional Information" today too. I called them today and they said they have everything though so I don't know what the deal is. That was the first thing I have heard from them in about 2 months though, so I was wondering what was going on there.
Yeah mine changed on AADSAS too to "awaiting additional info". I got super nervous and called but the nice woman on the phone said not to worry, and that they have been getting calls all day😀. I havn't heard from them since summer.....haha.....i hope the secondary follows.
mine changed today to "received/under review". i sent the app fee ~2 months ago, and there was nothing under status before. i'm hoping i'm under review and get the interview soon!

Same here. I thought I was the only one who got all my info in about 2 months ago and still haven't heard anything from them. I'm hoping the secondary will come soon as well. Goodluck to all of you too.
my status has changed today as well. hate to say this, but I called today and the lady told me, it was something that they didn't mean to do it??? So, she said, the changed status doesn't mean anything!!!

woohoo! my status finally changed as well to received/waiting additional information. yea, that typically means your file is complete and under review by the adcom. hopefully, they start sending out some more secondaries and soon thereafter interviews. I think they are almost situated with their first wave of interviews and now working on starting the second wave - hopefully this all means that it's our turn!

When I received this email 3 weeks ago... I saw UMaryland under the subject line and got really excited come to find out they just wanted to know what I have been up to for the past year - since the last year I had applied. I can't believe I got fooled by this email again because I got this last year as well.
What do they actually want here. A few paragraphs listing what I have done or an eloquently typed out essay like a personal statement of my activities?
I wrote a brief description of what I have been up to... it is suppose to be less formal than your personal statement. I wouldn't email them a list of things... just put it in sentences and try to be as concise as possible.

I dont know about re-applicants but for first timers the secondary is a definite invite! At least from all of my friends, its just generic and nothing that they could make a better decision off of. My friends got a call an hour after he submitted it and I got an email a few hours after I submitted mine.

I got the secondary on Thursday and submitted it on Sunday. Now I have an interview on Oct. 28th...good luck all!!! 🙂
did yours go from under review directly to invited for interview, or did it make a stop at application complete.
i really hate application complete ambiguity, i'm going to call tomorrow.
Actually it only changed to "application complete" the day I got the secondary. I got an e-mail this afternoon saying I got an interview but aadsas hasn't changed and STILL says "application complete" haha
Advice for all of you who have yet to submit your supplemental: Don't waste too much time thinking about what to do for the video; if you really have to labor to think about what to do for it, you're probably better off not doing it all, and just getting the supp in ASAP.
I find it hard to believe that it'll significantly increase your chances of getting an interview... I submitted my supplemental the day that I got it, didn't even stop to consider making a video, and had an interview invite less than a week later.

maryland sent me an email asking me to 'outline' how i am going to finish out my prereqs! i have no idea what this means and i havent heard back from admissions about the email (in over 1 week). Im calling wednesday to see what is up.
Has anyone received an interview invite or secondary from MD in the past 2 weeks? It seems as though there was surge in interview invites (to those who were sent the secondary) and now it seems like nobody has heard from them.

I still haven't heard anything either since my status changed from "received/ under review" to "received/waiting additional information" a couple weeks ago. I called and nothing is missing so I know the "waiting additional information" part doesn't mean anything. I wonder what is going on there. Are other people still waiting to hear?

At least for me, I thought UMD was pretty fast in their response after you submit their secondary (it seems that if you were in-state, it might take time to process b/c you actually had to prove that you were in-state, which I wasn't so it was simple and quick for out-of-staters).

I'm sure you will. Your stats are very solid, much more solid than mines, actually. Be patient.
Oh by the way, I called them up and apparently (I might have heard incorrectly) they only give out interviews on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So its a bit of a burden if you have a busy school schedule smack dab in the middle of the week.
