The instructions say: "Please briefly describe why you want to join the profession of dentistry (1000 character limit)". I feel like my response is going to be very similar to my personal statement. Did you guys just summarize your personal statement for this?

hmmm for the most part. 1000 words is not a lot. I just expressed more of my motivation and expounded on the question a little more then I did in my personal statement.

I thought the same thing. I paraphrased only a few parts of my PS and added more. See if you can add things to this short essay which you did not put into your PS. It is only 1000 characters so make sure every word counts.

When did you have to submit this? I have submitted my app fee but I don't think I was ever asked to do an essay?

Its part of their supplement, which you have to be "invited" to fill out.

They sent me a link to complete the supp app in an email on August 11. I submitted my Supplemental fee on July 8.
