Is it true that there are group discussions with eight applicants and interviewers?

What's with the distance learning program starting this year? If accepted, do you get to choose a campus?

Are they hiring more faculty for teaching, or are they spreading more work among the same number of professors?

-yea we did have a group discussion- my group had 6 applicants-just mainly had to talk about some different issues in pharmacy, nothing complicated
-there is going to be a distance learning campus in shady grove, md (for about 40 students)-seems kinda interesting - but the top ranked applicants will have first choice as to which campus, and once one fills up, the other applicants are just placed in the other campus...
-they really seem to be trying to expand their program a lot over the next few years, so i'm sure theyre going to be hiring a few more professors ...

The group discussion focused on a lot of current issues going on in the field of pharmacy....basically we just went around the table and each gave our opinions on the subject. The whole discussion lasted about an hour and the 'interviewers' are 2 first-year students.

They are hiring more faculty for the Shady Grove campus, but the faculty will not be lecturing, per se. They are going to be leading what they call group-based learning courses. All the didactic courses that are simply lectures will be recorded at the main (baltimore) campus and made available for the Shady Grove students to watch. They will also have admin staff and tutoring help----basically support staff available. They expect that the students would need to physically be at the Shady grove campus for group projects about 3X per week. You will however, have to go to the baltimore campus for all labs. They will provide shuttle service to and from baltimore.

They said that they don't do rolling admissions anymore so they're going to wait till all the interviews are done and they'll sit down during the first two weeks of March to make decisions. So around mid-March?
