I was doing a TBR Passage and I noticed the answer said that Anions go towards the Anode in Mass Spec.

I'm a bit confused by this. So in Mass Spec is the Anode + ? And the Cathode -?
I thought those were just in those electrolytic cells?

Regardless of where it is, anode is always + charged.
Anions are - charged, so they get attracted by anodes.
Dont get confused about the opposite charges bc of their similar names.

For a really good explanation of why charges migrate the way they do in various systems, read this thread. It's the third example in the first post.
