I would know the very main terms, like molecular ion and base peak, and know how it's applied. it will only take you like 20 minutes to read and understand the basic stuff.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this.. i see only one question on destroyer and I am not familiar with this concept. I wonder if this type of question is likely to appear on the real DAT and if there's an easy way to get the answer. I've checked online but most people get into alot of depth on this subject and it gets very complicated. On the question from destroyer I can deduct that the mw of the compound is the last peak. I don't understand what the highest peak is suppose to tell me... can someone please explain.... Thanks!
