Wondering what folks think about these things considering the resurgence in attention to venous return/MSFP in volume responsive patient's. If PLR is effective in determining volume responsiveness, could there be a role in MASTs for resuscitation still?

Obsolete, at our institution we will use binders and REBOA

Can someone explain the acronyms in this thread to me? I remember "MAST"s... vaguely.
There was a cartoon in the 80's known as "M.A.S.K.", which was also cool for its time.

What's REBOA?

I actually applied a PASG once when I was a medic (over a decade ago), but we used it to stabilize a suspected pelvic fracture. I do not see these coming back at all for any reason.

As of 3ish years ago, they were mandated by state law to still be on EMS rigs where I worked.

Are these rigs DeLoreans? Because it sounds like some time traveling is going on.
Nothing special happened when we got them up to 88... other than a lecture from the boss about safe driving practices.
