Master the boards??

What do you guys think of "master the boards"? Like it? Did you use the step 2 or step 3 book for the step 2ck? I heard a lot of people use the step 3 MTB book for the step 2 exam??

Yes..I have both..and I like them. I feel they are more CK focused. But please keep in mind that they are not complete, I don't think any review book is. I also have SUTS2..but at the end decided to go with the the MTB2+3 combo...so far enjoying it. As for SUTS2..not a fan, although some tables in there are good.

MTB Step 2 CK is pretty good, but weak in Neuro and ObGyn. Also, there is no stats. But overall it's very good.

Im liking MTB3 for peds.. I feel like i should read the obgyn but I think DIT did a good enough job filling in the holes (that's what she said???)

I personally thought that the MTB for Step 3 was better than that for Step 2 just because the management was more focused and that is the tougher part to get down on the real exam

bump... I ve read Step up to Medicine once through (maybe a few chps twice) and have done 1/2 of the IM questions on UWorld and read a few chapters in MTB...starting to feel like I m making the same mistake I initially made for Step 1 which was reading too many sources??

What do you guys think of just Master the boards (MTB) and UWorld alone?? Maybe Secrets added to the mix? Good combo to get a good solid score?

Not necessarily, some people go with MTB2 for Step2CK
