I want to get my MSW at NYU, and I am also interested in a program that they have with Sarah Lawrence where you can earn the MSW at NYU and a masters in child development at sarah lawrence and finish it up in three years. my question is: what can you do with a masters in child development?

To be honest I really do not know, I do not think that it would lead to any kind of licensure. It may open doors for you in other areas as an 'expert' in child development or it may be a research oriented steping stone.

^^^Yeah, not really sure. Having just re-read Siskind's Working With Parents, I could see that being fairly useful in the settings she describes (ie, Child Guidance Center, private practice focused on children under 6), but I wouldn't see it as a necessity.
