I'm not sure if this the right place to post this, but here it goes..

I'll be Graduating this upcoming spring with a Degree in Exercise Physiology and minors in Biology and Chemistry. I need to beef up my application before I apply and in doing so I plan on getting a masters degree (IF I don't get into a traditional postbacc/SMP)... my question is what would give me a better chance to gain acceptance to medical school a M.S. in Exercise Physiology or a Masters in Public Health?

Thanks!

I don't know if either one would be better than the other. I think it depends more on what would interest you the most and could get the best grades in.

Are you sure either of these options is the best way to beef up your app? If your gpa needs improving, and you are applying DO, you could take advantage of grade replacement and boost your ugGPA fairly quickly. Grad level courses won't improve your ugGPA, although they will be looked at by adcoms.

Yeah, I've been retaking a few classes in order to boost the ugGPA. I'll be somewhere around a 3.3 cgpa/sgpa at graduation time also I took the MCAT last friday so I'm waiting on those scores. I'm focusing on getting into an SMP this year and I'm just trying to keep my options open on what do to if it doesn't work out.
