Hi! Im currently a college senior planning to do a gap year. I wanted to do a Masters program after college because if I don't get in after college to med school, I figured the second time I apply I'll have a masters degree behind me. That being said, I decided to do so because I think the only thing lacking in my application is my community college GPA. In community college I got about a 3.1-3.2 GPA and now in my 4 year university I got a 3.8. I have everything else set on my medical school app, from research publications to a wide variety of activities and everything else, the only thing I'm truly concerned about is my community college GPA.
I dont know much about post bac programs and heard various rumors like them being able to replace your GPA for the "pre med classes" and you just kind of take it over again, is that true? Would you recommend a masters program or a post bac?

Thank you all in advance!!

No, it's not true. This policy used to apply to DO school applications, but they have discontinued that method of calculating your application GPA. MD schools have never had a replacement policy.
