How exactly is a master's program GPA calculated in relation to undergraduate GPA and how much is the undergraduate school considered in the entirety of the admissions process? Essentially wondering if going to a more elite undergraduate school will essentially be overlooked if you've completed a masters program or would the entire application be looked at holistically? I graduated from an ivy-league undergraduate school and didn't do horribly in undergrad but will end with 3.1 sGPA and 3.2 overall so I'm wondering if I should complete a masters program? Will my undergraduate degree/school be entirely overlooked if the masters program is completed at a state school? I know they say that undergraduate school doesn't matter much but I'm wondering how strongly this would be taken into consideration?

Before going and spending $25k+ on a master's program, I highly suggest you study hard for and take the DAT. If your score is high enough, your GPA will be balanced out by your DAT score. If you can do this, it will be a much less painful route.

Doing a master's isn't going to negate your undergrad performance, both get looked at. But as suggested above, I would focus on doing well on the DAT, which will likely allow you to skip having to do a master's program entirely.
