I already posted this on the postbacc forum but I got no reply so maybe someone here could help me out? I decided that I am not going to apply to medical school this year but instead should improve my application. I am very interested in immunology and virology and was thinking about doing the ScM program at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. There is a molecular microbiology and immunology program that sounds very interesting. However, I'm not really sure how competitive it would be to get in. I know it's easier to get in a master's program than a PhD one but this is Hopkins.. Does anyone know? I couldn't find any average stats.

I'm not sure what type of answer you're looking for. Yes, it's going to be a competitive program, but probably not as hard as getting into a good medical school. Regardless of how competitive it is, I think you should definitely apply. Everyone I know (including me) absolutely loved going to school there. So give it a shot. Plus, the classes in that department are taught fairly well (med school classes in immuno will be a piece of cake for you).

yeah..I'm excited. I haven't found that many immunology masters programs that I like. I am from Baltimore also so it would be pretty convinient/cheaper. Thanks. I was just wondering because my GPA is low if it would be ridiculous to apply. I have no idea what the stats are like. I will apply anyway.
