I have seen, multiple times on this forum, an assumption that the MPH degree and other masters programs (I know smps are a special case and even then are very risky) help applicants get accepted into medical school. Can we debunk or clarify this myth?? I've been told by various adcoms at pre med conferences and on SDN that the best way to improve your gpa is to take about 30 credit hours or more of undergrad upper level sciences either through a formal post bacc or DIY.
Please @Goro @gyngyn @LizzyM help me debunk the myth that an mph helps.
