I have 3.4 GPA and 3.25 sGPA and 20AA on my DAT. I am aiming for NYU and UDM, and not really sure if I should I do masters or just give a try and apply next cycle.

A 3.4 GPA is fine and with a 20 on the DAT, you have a pretty good chance of getting into NYU. Just do more shadowing, volunteering, and possibly research until you apply.

No need for research. What is your TS? If that's below a 20, then just retake the DAT
