i have just completed my undergraduate degree in psychology from trinity college dublin. i am taking a year out, helping out in a local clinic. my intention was to do an M.Sc in Psychodynamic Developmental Neuroscience from university college london/yale. however from what i'v heard on these boards is that most Ph.D's are hesitant to accept someone with an M.Sc...you seem to do it after over in america. in ireland and england it is almost compulsory to have a masters when applying for Ph.D.

would getting my M.Sc affect my chances of getting into a clinical doctoral program in the US?

No, I have an MSc from univ of london, and it was not a problem.
